Shure Beta 58A Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone
The Shure Beta 58A is the perfect, professional choice in a handheld dynamic microphone for male and female voices, young and mature, gentle or aggressive. Among the first things you’ll notice when using the Shure Beta 58a is its high, rich, clear output. It’s so high, as a matter of fact, that it’d be only natural to fear feedback or boominess. But alas, fear not. Its supercardioid pattern keeps your signal tight as a drum and pretty much eliminates any sounds coming from the sides or the rear. The rugged steel-mesh grille is internally lined with a foam pop filter so right out of the box you’re ready to roll (and rock, if you will). Here’s a little discussed fact: Try the Shure Beta 58a with a quality preamp in a studio recording environment. It just may be the ticket to help your vocal or acoustic guitar sit perfectly in the mix, even better than some pricey condenser mics (though your mileage may vary).
