"I first heard what these strings sounded like when I heard MuDvAyNe a long time ago. When I first heard ""Dig"" and ""Not Falling"" I was like ""What kind of distortion does the bassist use, it's phenominal"". But then I really started listening and figured out that it wasn't any distortion pedal, it was his strings, and when I figured out what brand he used I immediately ran out and bought a set. When I put the strings on I was completely blown away. My other strings, that I have been using up until now, were nothing like this they would run out of life within about 1 or 2 weeks. These on the other hand retained the same tonal brilliance from the first day I put them on to 3 MONTHS later when I changed them. I play in a metal band and I abuse the strings with fast picking, insane slaps, and crazy power chords (yes I play chords on the bass), and these things still maintained their crunchy resonance. These strings are the only strings that I will be using for the rest of my musical career and if you like a bass tone that will shatter glass, BUY THESE STRINGS. Thanks DR.
