Squier's Vintage Modified '72 Telecaster Thinline evokes the popular second incarnation of that era's stylish Tele model.

The Telecaster family went through an expansion in 1972 with the introduction of a new version of the Thinline, originally launched in 1969. This version of the Telecaster featured a semi-hollow ash body with a distinctive single f hole. To compete with other famous electrics that feature humbucking pickups, Fender introduced their own version of the humbucker resulting in the Wide Range Humbucker, designed by Seth Lover. The Wide Range Humbucker produces a bright, unique sound with power to spare. The Squier Vintage Modified 72 Thinline Telecaster Electric Guitar captures all the essentials that made this such a unique instrument 40+ years ago.

Squier’s Vintage Modified 72 Thinline Telecaster Electric Guitar also boasts a period-correct 1 piece gloss lacquer finish C-shaped maple neck. The 21 fret maple fingerboard has a more modern 9.5” radius. Other features include a three-position switch with “barrel” tip, four-ply white pearloid pickguard, vintage-style Stratocaster strings-through-body hardtail bridge with Fender stamped saddles, knurled chrome knobs and chrome hardware. Case not included.
