Be aware of limitations

By

from Eloy Arizona

Pros

  • Alot less space than acoustic set
  • Pretty good assortment of available sounds

Cons

  • Hi hat sounds are not very good
  • Hot spot on middle of snare is annoying

Best Uses

  • Practice
  • Small gigs

Comments about Roland Td-25K V-Drums Electronic Drum Set:

I use the set for practice and small gigs where space is an issue. The drum sounds are pretty good. I actually tuned them to my acoustic set. The hi hat sound just doesn't cut it for me. The snare has a hot spot right in the middle of the pad where the sound level seems to be 50% hotter than anywhere else on the pad. The bell on the ride is insufficient. I have an EV 12" powered speaker that I use for gigs. Sufficient power but the sound from headphones is far superior to the amplified sound. If you use this for gigs, consider using it with your standard cymbals. The kit is just OK. I expected more from it.

For the ultimate in natural playing feel, from snare drum rim shots, rolls, flams, and ghost notes to dynamic cymbal swells and powerful crashes, the TD-25 captures every nuance of your performance. You get a full compliment of mesh-head pads for that legendary V-Drums feel, with snare pad positional sensing that gives you realistic tonal changes depending on where you strike the pad.

    Top Shelf Kit

    By

    from Ontario, CA

Comments about Roland Td-25K V-Drums Electronic Drum Set:

Professional quality and sound right here! Extremely realistic feel along with the variety of built in voices for the kit gives you the option to create something that a regular acoustic set otherwise wouldn't be able to provide. you'll definitely be able to use this in a professional setting and with the adjustable toms and cymbals you can adjust things to you liking to the transition for acoustic to electric is effortless. The great part about electric kits is that whenever the time of day, you'll be able to practice without disturbing anyone close by; So play on!

Comments about Roland Td-25K V-Drums Electronic Drum Set:

ROland has the best electronic kits on the market. You cannot go wrong..this has mesh pads which means less fatigue and a more natural feel like an acoustic drum kit. Great sounds and still costs you less than a good acoustic kit package would. All of your cymbals you can dream of and a multitude of drum sounds
