The Taylor 410ce Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar provides lush acoustic and amplified tones and head turning looks at an affordable price.

The Taylor 400 series allows players to enjoy solid African ovangkol’s responsive, rosewood-like tone, which pairs well with Sitka spruce and can accommodate a range of playing styles. White binding applies a crisp counterpoint against the gloss top and mottled brown hues of ovangkol.

The Taylor 410ce is a Dreadnought shaped guitar with a Venetian cutaway. The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The most traditional of guitar shapes, Bob Taylor has evolved the Taylor Dreadnought over time to honor its enduring sonic heritage yet also refine the look and sound into a more modern package. The Taylor Dreadnought still boasts that powerful dreadnought tone that old school pickers expect, with deep lows and crisp highs, but with a voice that, like every Taylor, is more evenly balanced across the entire tonal spectrum. Perhaps more than any other shape, the Dreadnought remains linked with roots music like bluegrass and folk, in part because of its traditional role in defining those sounds. Pickers and strummers with an aggressive attack will love the Taylor Dreadnought’s blend of power and articulation, which allows for clear lead lines and crisp, driving rhythms.

The Taylor 410ce boasts a solid Sitka spruce top. Sitka spruce hails from Northwestern North America (Coastal Rainforests of Alaska and Canada). As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor’s personal favorite for an all-around great guitar. Sitka Spruce agrees with all styles of guitars and players.

Complementing the Sitka spruce top the Taylor 410ce features solid ovangkol back and sides. Over a decade ago, Taylor introduced the guitar world to a sustainable tonewood known as ovangkol. An African relative of rosewood, ovnagkol is a great sounding wood that shares many of rosewood's tonal properties, with a slightly fuller midrange and a top end that's not quite as bright as maple. Being lesser known than rosewood, ovangkol has been a sleeper hit over the years, asserting itself as an instant contender among unsuspecting players who test-drive a variety of Taylor models. Ovankgol is great for players who perhaps don't have predefined tonal preferences, who may be generalists in their style of play, and who are looking for a well-rounded, all-purpose solid wood guitar.

The Taylor 410ce features Forward Shifted with Relief Rout bracing. The Standard II version used on the 400 series instruments shifts the X forward (closer to the soundhole) and incorporates a Taylor-patented relief rout. The Taylor patented relief rout is a tone-enhancing voicing technique in which a groove is carved along the inside edges of the top. This groove is similar in function to the re-curve on a violin — it “loosens up” the edges of the top, generating extra flexibility without sacrificing structural integrity. Taylor first began using this groove in 2002. The result is increased bass and volume with a balanced tone. These refinements enable more of the top to vibrate, enhancing the tone.

The Taylor Expression System is "Natural Sound Made Simple"
You will love the clear, full acoustic tone of the Taylor 410ce. Why should it be any different when you plug in? That’s why Taylor spent several years developing their own onboard acoustic pickup and preamp. Taylor’s ground-breaking Expression System (ES) was designed to naturally amplify the warm acoustic sound of your guitar. The ES is an all-magnetic acoustic guitar pickup system that works like a microphone to produce a pure signal and a warm, natural acoustic sound. When you plug in, you'll hear the sound of your guitar, not the sound of the pickup. No complicated controls. No tone simulators. Just a clean amplified acoustic guitar sound supported by three simple controls — volume, bass and treble. Years of research brought Taylor to a simple realization: Nothing sounds as true and musical as a microphone. With that as a starting point, Taylor’s David Hosler led the team responsible for the Expression System's breakthrough technology. Utilizing a unique Dynamic Body Sensor mounted to the soundboard, a Dynamic String Sensor embedded beneath the fretboard, and a discrete preamp, the advanced ES technology is unlike any other guitar pickup system. The ES was designed in-house, alongside Taylor’s acoustic guitars, which allowed them to build the ES seamlessly into the design of the guitar, for an integrated pickup system unlike any other. From the design and location of the body and string sensors to the voicing of the preamp, the ES is fully optimized for the Taylor sound. The elegant design, including the non-intrusive control knobs, also preserves the aesthetic of a Taylor guitar.

Comments about Taylor 410ce Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I've just got my Taylor 410 ce. It is not just a pretty guitar but the sound really rocks! Great balance between the bass and treble. It responds to dynamics pretty good and the woods combination produces a great sustain notes. The pickups amplification system reproduces the natural and authentic sound of the guitar. Great Axe! Highly recomended!
