Comments about Stagg LPPS-25/R Practice Stand:

I bought this stand for my son for 6th grade percussion class, figuring I would save a few bucks off of the Remo stand that normally comes with the pad. That was in August 2011.

Bad idea. By Christmas both wingnuts were stripped, and the screw at the bottom kept coming loose. I've spent the last several months trying everything I can think of to keep this thing together until the end of the school year.

It's now the end of March and the stand has given up the ghost. I have no choice but to admit defeat and go out and buy the Remo stand I should have bought in the first place so my son will have something to practice on for the last two months of the school year.

I should have known it wouldn't be worth it to try and save a couple of bucks, but it's not like I was investing in a quality instrument here. I just wanted something to last a school year, a measely nine months. This thing barely lasted six.

Comments about Stagg LPPS-25/R Practice Stand:

I bought my 6th grader the Remo practice pad that virtually every beginner band requires for percussionists. But instead of getting him the $40 Remo stand, I figured I'd save some money and go for the [$] version. It's now two months into the school year and both of the screws on the stand are stripped. The stand is unusable if you can't tighten the screws. Soft metal or something. Now I'm off to get the $40 Remo stand. Lesson learned...
