Fusing a '72 Tele Custom with a Tele Deluxe the Tele Custom is an affordable hybrid of two popular Telecaster designs. The Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Custom brings back an iconic classic that was first unveiled in 1972. This modern-day classic features a basswood body available in Black or 3-Tone Sunburst. The electronics recreate the original specs of the 1972 version. This 1972 Telecaster Custom was produced in an effort to compete with other famous electrics that feature humbucking pickups. Fender introduced their version of the humbucker; resulting in the Wide Range pickup, designed by Seth Lover. The Wide Range Humbucker produces a bright, unique sound with power to spare. Paired with Duncan Designed TE-101B single-coil bridge pickup, this Telecaster possesses a very unique voice and has been heavily associated with some of rock & roll’s most enduring icons.
