Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

My experence with this guitar model has been excellent. The finish and tone are as good as a Fender Tele. I enjoyed the tone and feel of the guitar so much I bought a second for my daughter who is a muscian. The second one had a few imperfections and Sam Ash Online exchanged it no questions asked. The third one was also flawless. The neck is fast, pickups signature tele and the first and third were set up properly from factory. Both the ones I purchased had the sunburst finish and the wood was matched nicely with a beautiful grain. Amazing value for the price. You wont be disappointed.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Check and compare nut and neck width before buying. Telecasters are all different, and this one is the smallest and narrowest of all tele's I've used. There must be several OEM's for these guitars: I have one with a black plastic nut (garbage), and one with a white (Corian-looking, decent) Nut. Overall, if it had a fatter neck and nut, I would give it 5 Stars for the price. The Neck Pickup is nice - I actually like it more than my 52 American RI neck pickup. The Bridge is an icepick however - So I upgraded a MIM Tele and put those pickups in my affinity.

If you have small hands, this is a great guitar. If you are a lead guy and hover about the 12th Fret - this is a great guitar after a good setup. If you are a rhythem guy, and play on the nut-side - your first index finger joint will hurt after ten minutes of Am/F/C chords.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

SWEET!!! I had been looking for the "right" Affinity Tele for a while, and picked the Butterscotch for its classic look. Mine had a little finish ding (which we negotiated), but now it is my "go to" ax, my American Standard Strat, ES 137, and other guitars are getting jealous of all the playing time the Tele gets. Neck pickup is a little weak but it still beats the pants off of other guitars that cost 2-3 times as much. Great feel, fast neck, good intonation, easy to set-up and string changes are a breeze. Tuners are adequate, I'll probably start there for the first upgrade. All in all, a great little guitar for just about any style.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I saw this guitar in the store and thought it would be cool to have a tele. I knew I wouldn't be able buy an actual tele so I thought this would do. After playing it for a half hour I realized the quality of this guitar so I bought it. It is about 2 years later and the guitar is still great I even compared it to my friends fender telecaster and it was almost as good. I don't know if I got lucky but it is a great guitar for just about anyone.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This is an exceptional guitar for the money! When I got it the fretwork on the neck was very smooth, the neck was set up properly and all I had to do was tune her up! I checked over the entire guitar and found no flaws. I was very pleased with the quality of the guitar and the price. I felt like I was getting a really good deal. I set the intonation up as instructed in the included manual and it plays the proper notes up and down the fretboard. The included Fender strings are still on it and they play easy and nice. Everything on the guitar works properly, there were no loose parts or other problems. The action on this guitar is very good, it was set medium low out of the box and is VERY easy to fret. There is NO buzzing or other problems. As well made as this guitar is, I'm thinking about buying another in a different color just like this one. Buy this guitar, you will love it!

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've been playing for a few years. I am not a professional entertainer, I play because I like to play guitar. I take the time to write this as I have been looking for a good guitar at a reasonable price for quite a while. I tried this one out and was really impressed. The neck is very smooth, the frets were really dressed down well. The action was good out of the box, but I did lower the action a bit and now it plays like BUTTER! The neck was set up properly and there was no string buzz or loose frets. The finish on the neck and body was perfect. I set up the intonation per the included instructions and it plays perfect notes up and down the neck. (some guitars do not) Note that I got a RED one, the Red ones play and sound better.(if you like Red best..LOL) I am VERY pleased with this guitar and would buy it again in a heart beat. I was comparing this directly with a MIM Telecaster and I liked this one better, no matter the price.

I might sound like I'm over exaggerated but I'm not. I have IbanezRG370DX that I use mainly for shredding, since the nick on it is super thin. But the tone that you get on clean on the Ibanez doesn't even compare to this Squier. I use to be one of those guys who were turned off just by the name of the brand. I also have a squier affinity strat, and I'l tell you, these guys put work into the guitars. Really solid for the price.
