Compact and light weight by design, the VideoMic GO delivers clear, crisp, directional audio with incredible ease of use.

Clear, directional audio on the GO!
The Rode VideoMic GO offers a tight pickup area focused directly in front of the microphone and reduces other surrounding sounds, ensuring that your subject is isolated from distracting background noise.

The integrated Rycote® Lyre® shock mount isolates your microphone from bumps and vibrations that could otherwise interfere with your sound.

Constructed from a single piece of hard-wearing thermoplastic, the Lyre provides superior acoustic suspension to traditional elastic solutions, and will never wear out, sag or snap.

The VideoMic GO has no complicated switches or settings and is powered by your camera's external microphone input, requiring no batteries to operate, ensuring you never miss a great shot.

The VideoMic GO is designed and made in Australia.

The following cameras unfortunately do not support the VideoMic GO:
  • Nikon D7000
  • Canon T3/1100D
  • Canon C100, C300, C500

Rode has, not for the first time, reinstated why they have such a legendary name with this microphone.

Comments about Rode Videomic Go Lightweight On-Camera Microphone:

If you already enjoy capturing the special moments in life with a high quality on-the-go camera, this is a must have to ensure your audio quality matches the video quality. This mic has super tight and focused direction ensuring that what you want to enhance is all you get, none of the background nonsense. This mic isolates what is directly in front and suppresses the rest. The mic includes a great mount that will isolate it from bumps and miscellaneous vibrations that lesser quality mics would be subject to. There are no complicated switches or settings to fuss with just attach to your camera, mount the mic and go! Just check the compatibility before you purchase.

I am a journalist and do a ton of video work. These are not obtrusive and can still get the job done! The hot shoe mounts easily on a tripod or camera and does a great job when hooked up to my portable recorder as well.
