Carlos Santana’s influence as a PRS guitar player led to the development of the PRS SE electric guitar series, which launched in 2001. In honor of that legacy, PRS is proud to offer the all-new SE Santana.

The SE Santana is the first guitar in the SE series offered with a 24 ½” scale length and is also the first SE created using the same silhouette as Carlos’s revered American made PRS models. The SE Santana features a maple top with flame maple veneer and a mahogany back. The 22 fret wide/fat mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard adorned with the classic PRS "old-school" bird inlays.

The SE Santana is equipped with two PRS designed Santana humbucking pickups, volume and tone control with 3-way toggle switch, PRS designed tremolo, PRS designed tuners and nickel hardware. Includes PRS Cordura Gig Bag.

PRS does it again with the SE line

Paul Reed Smith has been cranking out some terrific guitars for years now. The SE line is developed with students in mind by providing them with a high quality guitar to compete with the run of the mill mass produced bargain guitars. While students are the target audience these SE line instruments are remarkable for players of all skills and ages. I've owned an SE Santana model for many years but this latest version is even better. Visually the bird inlays and flame maple top give the guitar a look of a much more expensive instrument. But what truly sets the SE line apart is great pickups, electronics, and setup. Whether or not you're a fan of Santana check out these great guitars they work well for jazz, blues, rock, funk, you name it.

The SE line from PRS offers great quality at an affordable price. This Santana is no exception to this series as it has a fine crafted, comfortable neck, great sounding pickups, and looks beautiful. The tonewood combination of mahogany and maple makes for a very versatile guitar, and the contoured body is very comfortable and a reasonable weight. It's hard to find many guitars at this price point that share the same quality and value.

      Great Tone

PRS guitars have always tried to be halfway between a strat and a les paul, but for Carlos Santana, they made it little more Gibson-y than their other models, with the same scale as a paul or an SG. So, if you're looking for Carlos Santana's sound, this is a good place to start. However, even if you're not a big fan, but you want a Gibson sound with more playability and a whammy bar, this could also be your axe. They're also really beautiful.

The SE series from Paul Reed Smith has long been one of the best buys you can get. The quality is superb, on par with USA made instruments at twice the price. They sound great, play great, and look beautiful.
