Comments about Samson Graphite 49 USB Keyboard MIDI Controller with Native Instruments Komplete Elements Software:
I was a little hesitant in purchasing this based on the mixed bag of reviews I've read, but after a lot of research, I took a shot. I'm glad I did. There was no damage, and the build quality was better than expected. This is a heavy midi controller. The semi weighted keys is what I've expected, fine. The program mapping was great for Ableton. In reading the comments, the big complaint posted were the zippy knobs. For me; I like them. I have an Akai APC 40, and for me, the knobs on the graphite 49 is really what I wanted. I like the tighter control as the quick sweep on APC 40 was too much, which forced me to pay closer attention to what I was doing. In a nutshell, I would say that it all depends on what you use it for. The Graphite 49 is packed with stuff and you pay half the cost for something like MPK49. The only complaint I have, which is minor are that most buttons are not backlit. For the money, I can live with that.
