Comments about Yamaha PSR E343 61 Key Personal Keyboard:

One of the best entry level keyboards on the market. But don't consider it only entry level.

Yes this is a great way to start playing the keyboard/piano for parents who don't want to spend too much money. But this keyboard is also great for even seasoned pros who want a portable lighter solution for smaller intimate times when lugging around an 88 key 75 pound monster isn't the best idea.

The drums have always been my first instrument but when I decided I wanted to learn the keys, I chose this as my starting point and it's been a great tool that's helped me advance in my playing. With over 500 voices I never get bored of the sounds in this keyboard.

A great value with great sounds and accompaniments and if you need even more sounds you can even hook it up to your sound module/pc and use it as a midi controller. Bam! The wonders of technology.

Comments about Yamaha PSR E343 61 Key Personal Keyboard:

While useful to any musician, the Yamaha E343 really shines as a beginner's keyboard. The Yamaha Education Suite, built in to this model, is a fantastic learning tool to help supplement what a student would learn in lessons. The pre-programmed music/accompaniment gives the experience of playing with an ensemble. With a very affordable price tag, the E343 is a great gift idea for an aspiring keyboard player.

Comments about Yamaha PSR E343 61 Key Personal Keyboard:

I like this piece a good bit, it's got some really cool sounds to choose from that would keep anyone entertained. For this reason i tend to recomend this keyboard to young children who are just learning; not to say it's not good for adults who want to play some elctronic music or just play around with cool sounds! In general the keyboard feels pretty good for said applications, though i do believe the model above this (the 443) is built a bit better, but because of the price, isn't for everybody. If you're looking at the <$200 range to teach your child or just play around and have fun yourself, this is a great option! Get a stand and some cables and you can even gig with it!

This is a great beginner keyboard for kids who are just starting to learn. It has a lot of instructional games built in, and there are enough sounds and options to keep kids banging on it for hours. Holding their interest is the key to getting them in the habbit of practicing.

A great keyboard for someone who is just starting out playing. It travels well, lightweight, and can run off of batteries. Headphone jack is great for playing in private without disturbing your family or neighbors. Equipped with a USB jack so that you can interface with personal computers and Apple iPads/iPhones/iPod touch easily. Can also be used as a midi controller. Don't forget to purchase a power supply, one is not included. Overall, a great value for a great starter keyboard. Comments about Yamaha PSR E343 61 Key Personal Keyboard:

I'm constantly gigging around my motif from gig to gig, and coming back home with back pains. Im ok with this. its what I do. And for shows, of course I need my incredible motif. But do I really need to go through this for rehearsals? Sometimes I wanna play in the great out doors, something about nature that brings out the best in me...but I always have to lug around my heavey but lovely motif...and a keyboard amp.
So to save my back some years before completely giving out, I went out and picked up this little keyboard, the PSRE343. I stuck with Yamaha cause its the brand I love and know. Compared to my motif, this keyboard weighs virtually nothing. Its like a pebble to a boulder, but it gives me the flexibility I need along with the quality to get from spot to spot as quick as if I carried nothing at all. The keys are more than decent and the response is pretty much on point for the most part. I still get a hefty amount of sounds and functionality to at least sketch out ideas. If I go to rehearsal, theres a keyboard amp there I can plug it up to, or if decide to just start playing in the street, the PSRE343 can actually run on 6 triple A batteries. The only thing I found that was missing was mod and pitch bend wheels. But I found out you can download a free app and you will have touch screen wheels, and an appregiator on your iOS device. All you need is Yamaha's I-ux1 cable and bam! You're set. I recommend this keyboard to anyone dealing with the same issues I described especially if youre on a budget.
