Samsons's Graphite 49 USB/MIDI Controller gives you the feel & control the players & pros crave. With all its great features & the included Native Instruments Komplete Elements software, you have the best in performance and production capability.

The Graphite 49 USB MIDI Controller offers the perfect balance of performance and control over your music software. It features 49 semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keys that provide accurate responsiveness and expression, and a pitch range that is perfect for performing, while remaining highly portable, making it both an instrument and a controller. Aftertouch offers customizable control over a variety of effects and parameters.

The Graphite 49 boasts a variety of easy-to-use features. With dedicated Transpose and Octave buttons, you can change the key of any given instrument, as well as expand the keyboard to a full 4-octave range, without the need for sub menus or shift keys. The on-board Pitch Bend and Modulation wheels offer additional control over your sound and make the Graphite 49 a production and performance powerhouse.

Custom controller
Take full control of your DAW and virtual instruments with controller functions built into the Samson Graphite 49, including 9 faders, 8 encoders and 16 customizable buttons. Not only are the buttons customizable, they can be programmed on-the-fly without the need for editing software. The Graphite 49 sports a large LCD screen the displays the behavior of every function in real-time, enabling intuitive mapping with your favorite software.

Room to create
Another way players can make the Graphite 49 truly their own is to utilize up to four zones on the keyboard for creating splits and layering sounds. This function allows different sounds to be assigned to different sections of keys for a completely personalized setup. With the keyboard divided into sections, the Graphite 49 lets you control two, three or four unique voices simultaneously. Record your bass, string, pad and lead tones all to a single track and leave room for your creative ideas to run wild.

Trigger happy
The Graphite 49 features four large velocity-sensitive trigger pads that can be easily programmed and assigned. Use them to tap out drum beats, cue one-shot samples or start and stop sequences. Expand your options further with a second bank of triggers, bringing the total to eight. With such versatility, the trigger pads are a vital performance and recording feature of the Graphite 49.

Elements of design
With a compact body design that is thinner than most controllers in its class, the Graphite 49 is perfect for live performance and studio applications. It’s constructed for optimal playability whether it’s placed on a solid surface or mounted to a keyboard stand. And its sleek, angled top panel offers easy viewing in any environment.

Designed for use with iPad
When combined with the iPad using Apple’s iPad Camera Connection Kit, the Graphite 49 is a great tool for making music on-the-go. Use it with your favorite music and synth iPad apps that support MIDI controllers. For additional mobility, the Graphite 49 can be powered directly by the iPad when you are away from your desktop computer.

Includes Native Instruments Komplete Elements Software
Bundled with the Graphite 49, Native Instruments Komplete Elements software offers a comprehensive selection of studio-quality sounds, effects and tools for modern music production, composition and sound design. With over 3GB of samples, Komplete provides you with more than 1,000 premium sounds and three mighty player engines — all carefully compiled to provide a strong toolkit for both stage and studio. Comments about Samson Graphite 49 USB Keyboard MIDI Controller:

I am very happy with my Graphite 49. It plug and plays easily with the Major DAWS that i have tried it with. There are tons of programmable buttons, dials and sliders on the unit itself including 4 pressure sensitive pads. The keys are nice, but lightweight and have not given me any trouble. I currently use it MIDI'd to my Maschine and it works like a charm.

Comments about Samson Graphite 49 USB Keyboard MIDI Controller:

I was a little hesitant in purchasing this based on the mixed bag of reviews I've read, but after a lot of research, I took a shot. I'm glad I did. There was no damage, and the build quality was better than expected. This is a heavy midi controller. The semi weighted keys is what I've expected, fine. The program mapping was great for Ableton. In reading the comments, the big complaint posted were the zippy knobs. For me; I like them. I have an Akai APC 40, and for me, the knobs on the graphite 49 is really what I wanted. I like the tighter control as the quick sweep on APC 40 was too much, which forced me to pay closer attention to what I was doing. In a nutshell, I would say that it all depends on what you use it for. The Graphite 49 is packed with stuff and you pay half the cost for something like MPK49. The only complaint I have, which is minor are that most buttons are not backlit. For the money, I can live with that.
