Beats Mixr Headphones are designed to be loud to hear over the crowd. DJs and audiophiles will appreciate the crisp sound quality of Mixr Headphones. Get yours at Sam Ash Direct!

Beats By Dr. Dre's Mixr Heaphones were born of a collaboration with Grammy-Award-winning producer and DJ David Guetta.  The challenge was to create the perfect set of world-class ear cups for DJs. Designed for use in big crowds, Mixr Heaphones had to be loud, durable, distinctive looking, and worthy of respect.  One year and thousands of prototypes later, Beats introduced Mixr heaphones as their loudest model with all the features professional DJs demand.

Beats™ by Dr. Dre™ MIXR™ adds swiveling earcups to the ultra-crisp sonic reproduction that made Beats famous. Beats paired the loudest headphones in the line with some of the loudest colors imaginable. The reflective b logo gleams against headphones drenched in Pink, Green, Yellow, Light Blue, Blue and Indigo. Beats MIXR’s also come in the traditional Black, Red and White. Designed for the long haul Beats Mixr headphones are lightweight and comfortable for hours of use.

not worth it

By

from New York, NY, USA

my hair gets caught in it constantly. the "L" and "R" stickers for left and right have already peeled off so now the glue has gotten all over it. the wire that came with it has the buttons that you can pause the music without having to go on the phone just like earphones do which is great but mine was so sensitive if i would brush my jacket against it my music would start pausing and skipping. definitely not even worth $5. don't buy this brand, the music didn't even sound that great its only a status thing anyway

Beautiful sound but ungodly uncomfortable

By

from Fullerton, CA, USA

I don't really enjoy writing reviews, especially largely negative ones, but having had these headphones for over two years now, there are some things I really want to say about them. I got these gorgeous headphones as a gift from my boyfriend at the time. He let me choose which set I wanted. After a lot of research because I'm a snob about quality sound, I finally settled on the Mixrs. At the time they came in the absolutely stunning hot pink shade and I fell in love with them at first sight, so I'll admit that was a factor in my decision too. When he gave them to me, I opened the box right away and was pleased the discover the headphones are even prettier in person. And when I plugged them in, I was blown away by the sound quality. Everything sounds so crisp and clear, and whatever I listen to it's like I'm hearing it right next to my ears. This hasn't changed in the last two years. The sound is spectacular, and even though I have a more proper gaming headset I occasionally even use these for gaming. Unfortunately, and I say this with deep regret, these headphones are horribly, terribly uncomfortable. I can barely wear them an hour without wanting to rip them off because they hurt my ears so much. The longest I've ever lasted with these on is five hours, and that's because I fell asleep with them on. When I woke up I had a horrid headache that didn't go away for hours and sore, aching ears. It's truly a tragic thing because the sound quality is incredible. Oh, I'm sure there's better out there somewhere, but for my purposes and I'm guessing most people's, these are just fine. And yet after barely listening to all the songs off a single album, I have to remove these and set them aside as I wait for my ears to recover from their soreness. I've tried various things to assuage this problem, such as adding padding to protect my ears and adjusting the position of the ear cups, but nothing I have tried has worked, and I have tried many things over the past two years. I truly love the sound these headphones provide, but I cannot give my recommendation because they are so horribly uncomfortable. TLDR: The sound is amazing, but the comfort level (which is, arguably, actually more important), is not. Spend your money on other headphones. I'm definitely not speaking for the entire line in this review, just the Mixrs, and I'd still very much like to try another model someday.

Cheaply made

By

from Norwalk, CA

This product is horrible ive had these headphones for 2 years and only used them a handful of times they spent a year in the case without use and when i went to use them the earcups started flaking. The inline mic cable was all cracked. I dont understand how it deteriorated when it just sat in the case. Two weeks ago i noticed cracking on the top of the headband for some reason and now today the headband snapped on the joint where the earcup is. I regret my purchase.

Great, but you might have minor issues...

By

from Philadelphia, PA, USA

When I got the neon orange mixrs for my birthday, I was amazed by the sound quality. They are very comfortable on my head (once adjusted). In my opinion, beats earphones aren't as good as the headphones. I tried the PowerBeats and didn't hear a lot of bass at all. The mixrs, however, don't provide CRAZY amounts of bass, but it gets the job done, and that job gets done well. Now onto the not so great parts. One time, I fell asleep while wearing my beats and woke up with my ear hurting a tiny bit for about an hour, but this might just be a personal problem of mine. Also another personal complaint, for me, is that in the pictures shown on this website, it seems that the cups on the headphones look bigger than they actually are. I might be wrong, though. Now, sosothing I have to say about another review that I read on this website. Someone (that I will not name) said that the cups swivel 360 degrees but they actually swivel 270 degees. Overall, I strongly recommend mixrs if you are looking for something between solos and studios.

Honestly these are the best sounding headphones I have ever heard. Great bass, great clarity, and great all around. A lot of people say that the mixr hurt your ears but I have not come across that so I honestly think you should buy these.
