Comments about StudioLogic VMK161 Plus 61 Key MIDI Controller:

I have two wurli electric pianos, and a rhodes. This is the first controller that feels right. Its the same size as the wurli, and with hammer weighted action. Its dope. Its not a Wurli, but its cool.

Comments about StudioLogic VMK161 Plus 61 Key MIDI Controller:

I have been looking for a LONG time for a 61 note hammer action, and everyone always says "We don't make that cause anyone that wants a hammer action wants an 88 note keyboard." I'm like, what about me, fool?

Anyway, I guess no-one told fatar that, cause they made a 61 note hammer action keyboard. Feels great, incredible for piano, rhodes, and wurli triggering.

The USB worked with no drivers on my system (Mac OS X)

It sucks that you can't upload presets from the internet via the usb, but it's pretty straightforward to program, and there are enough controls that I just make one robust performance preset and use that to trigger what i need. (I use the sliders for various volumes in Reason and for a couple soft synth params in logic.)
