Promark uses only premium, hand-selected wood. Each stick is hand-finished and hand- inspected for that classic Pro- Mark look, feel, and sound. A consistent supply of premium quality wood means consistent production of the highest quality drumsticks. Promark's 40 years of unequaled success in drumstick production is recognized by the top wood mills in the United States and Japan. This assures Pro-Mark of priority delivery, and guarantees an uninterrupted year-round supply of wood.

Promark's Millenium II™ process is a proprietary system which is unique to the drumstick industry. This treatment actually strengthens the wood and improves its resonance. It reduces the chance of warping during production, shipment and storage at retail stores or distribution warehouses. Promark is now using an environmentally friendly finish as opposed to the ordinary lacquer used by most other manufacturers. This finish is completely non-toxic, with no waste or residue, which is hazardous and difficult to dispose of. It makes Pro-Mark sticks less sensitive to moisture changes than standard drumsticks. The result is significantly improved quality and consistency as well as a finish that is more comfortable to the touch.

Comments about Promark 420N Mike Portnoy Signature Hickory Nylon Tip Drumsticks:

Love the stick. It is very light but very durable. Great feel. It isn't great for Jazz, but that is just because of the tip. I also would not really reccomend it for blast beats or death metal, because it is a little bit too thin. But it still works for most styles of music. Great stick, buy it if you play rock.

I've had & still have a wide variety of sticks, but Portnoy's sticks are awesome. You can use them in a variety of situations,Portnoy uses them with right hand nylon tip normal. Then in his left hand he uses it butt end down when hitting the snare.I tried it and can see how he gets different sounds with that application. And to top it off the nylon tip plays a mean bell with clear articulations.

Comments about Promark 420N Mike Portnoy Signature Hickory Nylon Tip Drumsticks:

The are super durable, even since i hit a lot of rim they don't break, but it leaves a mark. They are extremely lightweight and fast. They feel great in you hand, and they don't slip out as mush or as easily. These are the best sticks I have ever used.

Comments about Promark 420N Mike Portnoy Signature Hickory Nylon Tip Drumsticks:

I have used a great many sticks throughout the years and after trying these sticks I find it difficult to use anything else. They are tough enough and the only draw back for me is I tend to hit a lot of rim shots; towards the middle of the stick I wear them out. Not the sticks fault.

Comments about Promark 420N Mike Portnoy Signature Hickory Nylon Tip Drumsticks:

These sticks were the best sticks that i have ever tried. They accell above the rest. No matter how many sticks you have tried these ones are perfect if you like an aggresive, crisp sounding, high class stick. Just through this stick i rate pro mark the best company in stick making and Mike Portnoy the best in knowing what he wants.

Excellent weight, size, texture, and strength. The way the weight is balanced is unlike any other stick I've seen. I've used many different stick brands, sizes, and weights, and these are by far my favorite.

I have never played with sticks like these before. They are amazingly easy to play solos with and they feel good in your hands. I havent gotten one blister on my fingers or hands with these sticks. I will never use any other stick but these because Mike Portnoy is my favorite and the sticks rock.
