The Premier SS Single Cutaway Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar offers exceptional tone, playability and versatility along with an elegant aesthetic that is unmistakably D'Angelico.

The D'Angelico Premier SS is a versatile, performance-ready archtop that is sure to satisfy whether you play hard rock, blues or smooth jazz. The laminated maple semi-hollowbody offers all the full-bodied, rich D'Angelico sound in a lightweight, more compact and exceptionally comfortably 15" single cutaway body.  The maple neck is carved into a comfortable, slim profile and topped with a rosewood fingerboard, providing effortless playability from the first fret to the last.

Outfitted with a pair of D’Angelico’s proprietary humbuckers, the Premier SS will dish out whatever you need—from crystal clean jazz to heavily-overdriven rock or blues and everything in between. Routed through a 3-way pickup selector toggle, each pickup also features independent volume and tone controls.

With elegant appointments that remain true to the timeless D'Angelico tradition, the Premier SS features a distinctive D'Angelico headstock with a striking mother-of-pearl Excel inlay and Art Deco truss rod cover, a signature stairstep trapeze-style tailpiece, a strairstep pickguard, mother-of-pearl square block inlays, and classy Grover Super Rotomatic strairstep tuning machines. The D'Angelico Premier SS Single Cutaway Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar comes with the full protection of a deluxe gig bag.

    This guitar sings extremely well!

Dual hum action on a semi-hollow, you know its going to have the sustain and dynamic playability that you desire for any blues, jazz or rock music.

It sounds so great and I'd highly recommend running it with some heavy reverb, you'll thank me later.

Very comfortable neck. This guitar can be used for a variety of genres of music and sounds great as well. Kind of midrange in sound which is fine, plus the white looks classy almost like an old comfy caddy or Jeff V's car. Feels good, sounds great!

      Great Bang For Buck!

D'Angelico really nailed it with the new Premier models. For being under 1K they really capture the feel and sound of the higher end pieces in the catalog. The pickups leave a nice punch without any unnecessary overtone, and the necks are as usual just like butter. Quite versatile for the line.

I like how thin the body was, I thought the guitar played very well and was comfortable.
had a lot of mids witch I feel will make it easy to cut in a mix and had a beautiful resonance to it. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone

Versatile and distinctive new guitar from D'Angelico

      By

D'Angelico is known for high quality guitars and these new import offerings are truly remarkable. If you want a high quality instrument that's a little more unique in a sea of mass produced options definitely check this one out. No matter what style of music you play this guitar probably has you covered. I'd say it's like a cross between a Les Paul and a 335. You can use it on rock, blues, jazz, pop, country you name it. A pair of humbuckers delivers the goods from glassy, thick cleans to searing driven tones. Being a semi hollow body construction you get a lively three-dimensional vibe to your tone that a solid body just can't offer. The fit, finish, setup, and construction are all high quality. And like it's more expensive big brothers from D'Angelico this one just evokes a certain style and class from the headstock shape, binding and awesome tuners. So whether you're looking for your first foray into electric guitars or adding another to the collection be sure to check this one out definitely a fun little axe to play.
