At last…! The Alesis Vortex Wireless gives you what you’ve wished for…untethered, USB and MIDI wireless keytar performance with the complete control and flexibility you want, but with the absolute simplicity you need.

The Alesis Vortex Wireless is a keytar controller that connects wirelessly to your computer, integrating with popular virtual instruments, plugins, and DAWs. For maximum mobility, the PC/Mac-compatible USB dongle creates a reliable, wireless connection through one USB port. Complete with an intuitive ergonomic layout and piano black finish the  Vortex Wireless offers slick controller functionality in a cool, professional design.

Shake Your Vortex
Vortex Wireless gives you great expressive control with its MIDI-assignable onboard accelerometer. Map it to any parameter in your software, vibrato, glissando, filter sweeps, pitch bends and other expressive actions can be executed instantly by simply changing the Vortex’s position. Now your music can match your performance.

Connect & Control
37 velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch, a row of physical knobs, 8 velocity-sensitive drum pads, all laid out in an ergonomic design that’s friendly to your touch and to your reach. Various neck controls provide another set of performance options: Expand melody lines with octave range buttons, tweak your sounds with the MIDI-assignable touch strip, and activate sustain all with your left hand, leaving  your right hand free to play. Vortex Wireless offers multiple connectivity options including USB-MIDI I/O.

Included DAWs and Virtual Synth
Included with Vortex Wireless is Vortex I, by SONiVOX software, a versatile, high-definition virtual synthesizer designed specifically for the Vortex that expands its pallet with edgy leads, wobbly basses, ambient pads, and more. Vortex Wireless interfaces directly with the software so you can tweak your sounds from anywhere on stage.

For producing, performing and improvising, Ableton Live Lite Alesis Edition is also included, enabling you to explore musical ideas in real-time. Of course, what would Alesis music creation be without Ignite, by AIR Music Tech, the powerful music creation software that lets you compose, and record songs with a straightforward workflow.

Comments about Alesis Vortex Wireless USB/MIDI Keytar with Accelerometer:

The Alesis Vortex was for those who wanted a keytar at a low price. The new Vortex now has wireless MIDI-over-USB transmission. Not being plugged into anything onstage is the only way to enjoy playing a keytar!

37 keys in total, all with a responsive and resistance feel. The neck has a pitch-bend wheel, multi-function ribbon, buttons to control the sustain, octave up/down, ribbon modes and keyboard zones plus an assignable slider. Also on the keytar, eight assignable trigger pads for drums, or whatever you wish, which vary in size with multiple functions and 3 assignable knobs. My favorite thing about this keytar is you can use the angle/movement of the keytar to affect the sound! For example, if you tilt the neck up or down, you will activate modulation. This is a default setting, but you can program it to do other things instead. Super cool!!

Comments about Alesis Vortex Wireless USB/MIDI Keytar with Accelerometer:

Alesis has taken their Vortex keytar to the next level: they made it wireless! Now you can enjoy all of the great features of the original Vortex without being tethered to a computer or rack module. Its 37 velocity sensitive keys feel great and are very responsive. This model also has 8 velocity sensitive drum pads so you can even use it to trigger drum sounds or loops to add to your performance. And, to add to the expressiveness, the Vortex has built in accelerometers so you can shake it while you play to get even more variation in the sounds. It is also class compliant, meaning you can just plug it in and play with no drivers required.
