Comments about Peavey Tour 450 Bass Amplifier Head:
I bought this AMP from another store that actually carried them in stock! It's a shame Sam Ash Cincinnati didn't get the sale. I asked and asked for two months for them to get one of these in so I could evaluate it... They wanted money up front to get one in.. So I went to another store who carried them, and the cabinets, and Peavey bass guitars. Guess what.. I liked everything I put my hands on from Peavey. So another music store got my business. Between cabinets, bass and Amplifier I spent a decent amount of money, and got to try it before I bought it! I used it all the very next day at a rather nice sized gig. The equipment worked perfectly. The amp didn't break a sweat and I was able to blend in well against two full Marshall JCM tube stacks!! What else can you say about this amplifier other than.. IT gets it done and doesn't even get remotely warm!!! Oh and the cabinets I paired up with this head are the VXT 410 and VXT 115. I will eventually get a second set of this same setup. Sam Ash should consider carrying them in the store, and maybe even the 700 watt version of this Amplifier head. For the money you can not beat what you get from this setup. Before you drop money on big name rigs FIND a store that carries Peavey IN the store and not just on their website, and try one out. You will not be disappointed. You can get a wide range of sound and tone out of this head, the more you mess with it the more you will like it.
