The Peavey Rage 258 Guitar Combo Amplifier captures all the vintage tone from a tube amp all within a solid state amp.

The TransTube technology was first introduced at the NAMM show in 1995 where Peavey set up a blind A/B comparison between their new TransTube amp and a real tube amp. Many professional musicians were shocked to find out that the TransTube amplifier was in fact solid state because when compared with the real tube amplifier nobody could even tell the difference.

The Rage 258 features 25W and one 8’’ Blue Marvel speaker. This amp has one input and 2 channels, clean and lead. Each channel feature a 3 band passive EQ and an EQ/Gain Voicing switch on each channel, making this amp very versatile when it comes to sounds. This amp also features a headphone input and an auxiliary input/direct out. Whether you’re looking for the cleanest of sounds or the dirtiest, this amp is perfect for jamming around your house or recording.

  • 8 inch super-duty Blue Marvel speaker
  • Two switchable channels: clean and lead
  • 3-band EQ
  • Tape/CD input
  • Modern/vintage voicing switch
  • Headphone jack
  • 25 watts (rms)
