I dreamed about this guitar for years. I was so frustrated not getting every year for christmas, so i worked through my entire summer, went to Sam Ash, and immediatly fell in love with the plus top vintage sunburst. Stop reading this review and go buy one! You wont be disapointed!

I purchased my LP about a year and a half ago. I was just learning guitar and this buy was my commitment to keep playing. It is more beautiful in your hands than any picture could show. I went to sam ash and almost walked out with one the same day. There was a flaw in the wood above the 5th fret towards the outside of the fretboard. It kept staring at me so I asked if they had any other ones, they said no but would order me a brand new one if I was willing to wait a couple weeks which I did. Sam Ash is a great company who is truly all about serving the customer with no hassle or pressure to buy. The only flaw is when the new guitar came in, there is a little mark in the fret board close to the neck around the high E string area. Not a 100% perfect quality guitar but pretty close.

I was mostly into floyd rose guitars and heavy metal music, but once I started listening carefully to James Patrick Page incredible guitar skills, I also started remembering that back in the day when I was a child, I use to love Slash and his guitar as well as Stone Gossards riffs. So, I went to Sam Ash and checked this incredibly beautiful looking Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Cherry Sunburst and fell in love inmediately with her (although I also felt heavy feelings toward this other Les Paul Trans Blue), I've even named my Les Paul Fiona (I haven't ever met a Fiona, but the name suits this lady). At the beginning, the feeling was not the expected because my last guitar was an Ibanez, so, off course, it felt different, but as the days went by, I really started getting the proper feeling and now I don't even miss the whammy bar. Killer looks, nice affordable price (not as the Gibsons, which I'm pretty sure you are paying at least have the price for the Gibson name on the headstock), it doesn't goes out of tune often like other players claim, it has a fat tone, good pickups and it is a really nice guitar to play, from nice and warm clean tones, to crunchy and nasty overdriven ones. I use this lady to play from blues to hard rock (and although I also use it for metal every once in a while, I still prefer to use my Ibanez for those).

It produces great sound. Great for a player who's been playing for about 2-3 years. it is probably the heaviest guitar I've ever played. My les paul had a loose volume knob and the fret board was not attached properly to the neck and it was brand new. All in all a great guitar for a moderatly experienced player.

In my 54 years, I've owned many guitars, including five Gibson Les Pauls and countless strats and others. I sold evey Gibson Les Paul because they wouldn't stay in tune. This Epi comes from the factory with Grover tuners and to my surprise stays in tune. Gibson has completely gone insane with thier prices. Save yourself [$] and get a well made Epi instead.

I use this for everyday playing and jamming with friends. I have yet to find a single flaw with this baby. It is the absolute best instrument I have ever used, it's much more than anything I could have hoped for. The feel is amazing, the sound is absolutely amazing; the humbuckers are absurd. It is undoubtedly the most iconic guitar known to man, with an unbeatable price, and sounds amazing. This instrument is its own living, breathing, creature, and I am in complete love with it. Although I'm a novice, it's the greatest thing I could have asked for. This would be a # 1 reccomendation to anyone inquiring about a guitar. Definitely get this, you will not regret it whatsoever.

I have been playing guitar for about two years and started with a fender starcaster that I purchased at a pawn shop. Well, I love that guitar (mainly because it was my first) but I knew I needed an upgrade. I went to Richmond and found this baby in the honeyburst finish and have been so pleased (although my dream is a Gibson '57 Goldtop) The sound is much, much better than my previous electric guitar and the feel of it in your hands is just gold. The only downfall that I noticed upon picking it up was the weight, but I attribute that to the fact that I had been using a very light starcaster but that issue only took a couple of minutes to go away once I became used to it. I was almost going to purchase a 799$ Gibson Les Paul but went with this instead and do NOT regret my decision. This has been the best guitar I have played in my 2 years. Oh yeah, did I mention it is absolutely gorgeous.

Well, I have to admit I'm a bit biased this being my dream guitar and all but I'll put that aside and be honest. This guitar is amazing. I play everything from 'The Beach Boys' to 'Dimmu Borgir' and this guitar handles it all. One thing that is pretty unique about this type of guitar is that the pickguard is raised. That to me is a pretty ingenious design. I have this baby in Honeyburst but all the finishes are beautiful. What can I say I'm completely in love with this guitar and I don't even pick up any other guitar anymore.
