'My signature stick has what I like to call 'throw.' You get maximum volume out of each stroke without having to do as much work because of the extra length and balance of the stick. The fact that the neck doesn't taper too much also adds to the strength of the stick resulting in less breakage at that point. The shape of the bead tip ensures a little more contact point with the head of the drum, giving you a warmer attack. With a relatively thin stick, you get the maximum 'weight throw'of a 5B model without feeling like you're holding onto a tree trunk.'
