The Zoom B2.1u delivers what Zoom claims it can. It has a wide variety of effects in a compact pedal making portability one of its strong suits. It can function as a direct box and as a USB audio interface. Add to that the drum machine and it really is an important tool for the bassist as a means to practice those bass lines. I own one and would not part with mine.

i'm a bassist in my high school Jazz band and combo. i play in my own band and my own Buckethead style thing on the side. this is the best thing ever! i can play like Jaco and switch it in a second to play Les Claypool then to Bootsy. this pedal has the most wicked effects ever!

I got this effect pedal in the hopes that it would give me a broad range of effects for my bass for a reasonable price. It will not disappoint you. After you play around with the stock presets, which are great, you realize you can make your own effects AND use a drum kit AND record on your PC with the included software. I have had the pedal for nearly a year, and am still impressed with it. Now that I'm messing around with guitar also, I've found that it can be used for basic distortion and pedal wah with a normal guitar and sounds pretty darn good! A++ for a great all in one bass pedal!

i like this product alot. Its my first bass effects pedal though so i can't judge it on much. but its easy to use considering it looked difficult when i first bought it.

Wow!Zoom B2.1u Bass Effects Pedal is a well built, easy to program, effects pedal and it has a lot of fun features and sounds. You can record your bass play and play it back too, and see how well you play. This is a really cool pedal. Hats off to, Zoom!

The B2.1U solved to problems for me. 1) I needed a variety of effects in a small package. 2) I needed a simple audio I/O for computer recording and I did not want to get too complicated. The B2.1U has a USB audio I/O and it comes bundled with Cubase LE. This is a very capable and user friendly way of recording. The effects processing is pure quality - great effects with killer presets. The unit also feels like it will hold up to gigging. Mike A

"I bought this unit because: 1. I needed to get a few effects that i found in this unit 2. I wanted to get a recording interface (i previously worked in a studio and since leaving i found myself wanting to lay down some tracks, not to mention post some work online). I am starting to work with midi as well as audio to compile a cd for review (bass tracks for berklee). This unit is really a cool toy. I just got it a few days ago, so i haven't used it live yet, however i have used it to record with. The effects are really dazzling, you wouldn't expect to get a sound like this with a cheaper processor. it has great distortion sounds as well as a really great sounding phaser. The bass mods are cool, but i already have a nice sound from my bassman300pro, so i was geared toward effects than amp mods. The connection is really clean, and the pedal looks like it can take some abuse. my few complaints: it might be my make-shift studio computer, but i get a small buzz under each track. there are a lot of reasons why this might be happening, and i assume that it isn't the unit itself. usb connection doesn't have the best sound quality anyway...and my second complaint is that the controls are a little less practical than most units. they decided to put the controls in 4 knobs, and this makes creating or editing effects a lengthy process. other than that, i really enjoy using this, I wouldn't recommend it to people who want a real high quality recording device, or to anyone who only wants maybe one or two effects (which is my case) but i've decided to keep it, since it wasn't that expensive and it's fun to mess around with."
