Zildjian ZBT 13" Hi Hat Cymbals ZBT Series Advanced new look and sound. Projects a loud cutting voice as powerful as any Zildjian. Adds real musicality to your kit.
These were the first hats that I owned and in the beginning, I didn't know any better an I thought they were fine. But as I have gained experience and played with some different kits and hats, they really seem sub-par at best. The sound is not lively or loud and they don't have a very precise chick. One way to describe them is to say that they sound like hitting better hats with a rubber mallet. No definition or volume and not bright. Also, the bright finish on them has begun to wear unevenly creating dull and bright "spots" on the cymbal. I wouldn't recommend them.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT 13" Hi Hat Cymbals:
"These cymbals are mediocre at best, when half-open, they sound dead, and dont really open up and ""slosh."" The bell is small, and when hit, produces a sound which has no place in a drumset. The stick on the closed hi hat is the weakest sound this cymbal produces. It isn't very loud, and also sounds dead. The one saving grace of these cymbals is that I've had them unhappily for three years, and they havent cracked...yet. You would be better off buying sabian B8's for your first hats, which are cheaper and sound a lot better. "
