The Akira Jimbo Snare has an 8-ply Beech shell and 19-ply, 6-hole maple hoops. Hi-carbon steel snares are used for articulate response and full sound. The vintage wood hoop is incorporated, providing explosive rim shots and cross-stick sounds.

The manufacturer's warranty covers drums and hardware for three years from date of purchase, and the lacquer or covered finish for one year from date of purchase. The warranty excludes damage from misuse, abuse, and contains other exclusions.
