I like this guitar. It has a nice solid feel with good tuners. The tone is great and it projects very well. It is not Flat at all. However, the accessories are just ok. The tuner does the job, but you may be better off picking up a $15 Korg. The bag is a waste, and that is a big factor for buying a package. You may be better off buying everything separate or saving $50 by getting the Yamaha Standard package.?. Great guitar though and Yamaha makes a good product. :)

This is the first negative review I have had to write for any guitar I have owned. I was thrilled with this guitar when I got it. Nice looking and nice tone. Two years later and despite me taking great care of it the frets buzz, the fretboard is severely discolored, and the last time I changed the strings, the tuner for the D string fell completely off and is now held in place only by the string tension. Stay away from this poorly made guitar.

I bought this package. The good is: A solid guitar for the price. The solid top is important you don't want laminated. Descent sound--a little flat.
The bad: As I said a little flat sounding. Mine came with low E-string buzz and had to get adjusted. The case (bag) is a little flimsy; I bought a hard case. The strings that come with it are little too thick for a beginner so I bought some lighter guage ones.

All in all I think it is a good package for the beginner--for the money.
