I picked one up as a teaching tool to keep in the trunk of my car. With 20 minutes invested (and some steel wool #0000 (frets and back of the neck to smooth out the finish), car wax on the frets/fingerboard/back of neck and a new set of strings (Elixir)) I came to really enjoy playing this 'toy'. Reasonably well made for [$], really cool and fun to play. Average build thats set up really well. Understand this is not designed to compare to well built American made guitars, and it is small, but for what it costs, with a half hour invested you can have a really cool children's/travel guitar that plays really well and in tune. Its fun to play, in a a parlor guitar sort of way and its only [$]. Buy one for the trunk.

I bought the guitar expecting it to be an "average" 3/4 size guitar. It is NOT!! The scale length is only 21". It is sized for a 5-9 year old. [...]

I just recently bought this for my 9 year old daughter(b-day present).I was really impressed.The sound sounded great.Its great for beginers.Right know im teaching her some simple chords on her new guitar.She loves it.Great design,qaulity and price.

"I bought this as a travel guitar, something that could fit overhead in the bind of an airplane, as my wife and I travel. I have a larger Yamaha dreadnaught, and it's superior construction. When I received the guitar was surprised at how nice of a design and size it was. Has two strap pegs, one on the bottom and one on the neck for wearing a strap. I found this very comfortable. The finish has lots of very tiny bumps in it, like the finish was rushed through. The neck also had small bumps on it, I probably couldh have gotten rid of them with steel wool, but I also found problems with the top of the guitar finish. There was a very noticable bump on one edge, and it was just painted over. Also, I had to do considerable tweaking with the truss rod to drop it down so the guitar would stay in tune. If this guitar had arrived without the finish flaws and had a better gig bag(with a pocket) I probably would have kept the guitar. But since the gig bag was cheap plastic with no pockets, and there were many finish flaws in the guitar, I decided to try another brand. Too bad, I like Yamaha products. You might want to try one out in the store, you could have better luck than me."

"The guitar is orangish yellow glossy. Nice neck, medium, flat sounding strings. There was a flaw on one edge of the top body that was visible in the light reflection. When I first got it the thing wouldn't stay in tune. Then about two weeks in it started keeping its tuning, er, kind of. Every once and a while, I can get it to tune to itself, but if it's in tune in E, then it's out of tune in A or C. I have to really work at keeping it in tune. Must be a defect of the indivual guitar. Very thin plastic guitar bag with no pockets. Just a cloth backing inside. If this would have stayed in tune, I would have kept it. It's a nice size and almost a nice instrument, but I'm tired of trying to keep it in tune. The greatest thing about 3/4 size guitars is that you can keep them around your home or office and play them anytime you like. I was a little disappointed, my full size Yamaha is very nice."
