Perfect for the beginner on a budget, the 600 series have single-braced tripod bases and slip-resistant rubber feet . The stands have an offset tilter which folds back on itself for safe transport. Each tilter has two large felts and a specially molded hard-wearing poly carbonate sleeve. The relatively small wing nut allows the cymbal bell to be played right up to the center.
Another great Yamaha design feature is the way the boom cymbal arms can be taken out and inserted into the vertical stand housing (or tom holder). This allows even greater height adjustment and is once again perfect for transporting. Each height adjustable stand section is secured by a large heat-treated hard steel wing nut which compresses a nylon ring bushing. The lightest turn of the wing nut holds the position securely with minimum wear on the joint.
