Yamaha has unveiled their first upgraded hybrid clarinet with the CL350D, sure to appeal to those players with the most discerning ear and particular preferences, while still providing a budget conscious isntrument. Using the same body as their renown CL250, the new CL350D has a grenadilla barrel for improved resonance and intonation. Being the first part of the clarinet responsible for reproducing sound, after the mouthpiece of course, an improved barrel will greatly improve the quality and character of tone in already outstanding intsturment.
Ergonomic improvements have been made to the Yamaha CL350D clarinet as well with a new adjustable thumb rest. This allows the player to position the clarinet comfortably in their hand, making quick and sometimes unnatural finger movements a breeze.
Keys are still nickel plated for enduring performance, while the pads behind them are upgraded to Pisoni bladder style pads. Pisoni pads are italian made and are known for a long life and reliable performance. These pads will adhere cleanly to a tone hole even with the lightest playing touch.
