The world most sold electric acoustic guitar, 500 series now reveals its upgraded version. Cosmetically stage-aggressive attitude with refined hue is totally new to classic rock generation as well as live fanatic new comers. This is an excitement generator with Yamaha’s own upgraded electric system and excellent playability. APX series guitars are designed with a focus on playability. Their thin bodies and cutaways that provide greater access to the upper frets, offer smoother switching between electric and acoustic instruments. The special APX bracing design delivers excellent response with a thicker mid and high range tone. Inheriting the basic specifications from APX500, the 500II offers a newly developed Yamaha original preamp/piezo pickup. This new pickup is an under-saddle type, yet the piezo element is individually placed for each string in order to catch more accurate sound information. Another plus, along with the APX's great playability, is its capability for smooth lead playing.
