Waves GTR is not your run-of-the-mill amp modeling software. GTR was designed to meet the rigorous demands of engineers, producers, and session guitarists accustomed to the very best in tone and feel. We developed a brand new sampling technology to capture the unique sonic characteristics of the world’s finest guitar amps, cabinets, microphone placements and effects. Each amp and effect plug-in was meticulously engineered to meet professional needs including dual amp and dual cabinet options, MIDI control, and routing flexibility. Together with Paul Reed Smith Guitars, we perfected the sound and created the Waves/GTR Guitar Interface hardware for optimal impedance-matching.
Paul Reed Smith and the PRS team worked with Waves engineers for more than a year to perfect the sound and features of the Waves GTR system. During his most recent visit, Paul arrived at Waves headquarters in Tel Aviv with crates filled with his hand-picked boutique and vintage amps, and he personally adjusted the tone during the sampling process.
