"im a beginner bassist. i didnt want to buy packages. but i was on a strict budget. this bass has the looks, sound, and is actually quite well priced. the only problems i see with my bass is the fact that it doesnt come with a hard case. for beginners, this is the perfect practice bass. and i believe it would last forever. "

"This was my first and is still my only bass, but I have handled many others and I'm still very pleased with my choice of instrument. This bass is cheap, but very sturdy with a good variety of sttyles that can be played on it. The standard P & J pickups give a good tone, the finish is a loot cooler in person than on the website, and the weight is a little on the light side, which is good before you have experience with playing. Unfortunately the sound is somewhat less full than many other basses, but other than that I love this instrument, but for experienced players with enough money I would recomend something a bit more substantial and fuller, though the slap and pop tones are better than most on the XB-102"
