The Washburn WD55SCE Acoustic-Electric Guitar features a Dreadnought body shape combined with a modern single cutaway design which is desired by so many modern players. The sound is generated from a spruce top which produces full-bodied tone with excellent projection. The back and sides are handcrafted from Koa to compliment the select spruce top .The cutaway design allows players to reach the upper register notes when you’re reaching for a little extra during a solo. The neck of the Washburn WD55SCE is carved into a comfortable C-shape and will feel right at home in the hands of players who favor the fast feel of a solid body electric guitar. Other quality touches include an abalone rosette, an engraved "W" on the neck heel, sealed precision tuners, and abalone binding.
The Washburn WD55SCE Acoustic Electric Guitar also features the easy to operate Fishman Isys+ Tuner/Preamp system. Located on the guitar's upper left side, the Fishman's separate gain, bass, and treble controls allow you shape your tone in mid-performance. Pressing a Phase switch boosts low end when playing at reduced volume and helps mitigate feedback at higher volume levels as well. Finally, the WD55SCE features an onboard LED tuner with auto-mute for silent tuning onstage. Case not included.
