I have owned higher priced classical guitars, and when I bought this one I tried out different models from the lowest cost to the highest rather than brand or price range. The Yairis are really smooth and detailed, but don't sound much better than this guitar! Same thing with the Raimundo and other Spanish models. The more money you pay, the better the feel is going to be. Obviously this guitar is not going to be as refined as the others, but intonation is perfect, (on mine) the tuners are super high quality, (I added D'Addario EJ46 Hard tension strings.)as are the nut and saddle. There is even what appears to be maple(?) striping around the top and bottom borders.The sound is what counts to me, and this one plays beautifully even when I'm playing along with a fine classical guitar on video or what have you. My only complaint (and this is just nitpicking since I only paid [$] for it.) is that the fretboard seems to be radius ed inward towards the middle slightly and looks like a rosewood sticker, but most people would not even notice. The sound has actually improved since I bought it a couple of years ago. Unless you are going to buy a $1,000.00 or more guitar, this is really a great choice for the money.:)
