W.Nirschl B-300SP Trumpet
The W. Nirschl B-300SP trumpet offers all the features found in the most expensive professional trumpets. The most versatile trumpet on the market today, the B-300 features an open mouthpipe that facilitates a big symphonic sound when used with a larger mouthpiece and at the same time allows the player to power a big band with a sizzling sound when played with a shallow cup mouthpiece.
Unique at this price point are a One-Piece, Acoustic annealed bell, which provides an immediate response and a warm vibrant sound. Included in the outfit are two mouthpieces: a 3C which provides a big sound for concert band and a 3E which helps the player achieve the sizzling upper register needed in the Jazz Band. While most outfits include only one beginner sized mouthpiece, W. Nirschl recognizes the need for advancing and professional players to play in a variety of styles and produce a sound needed in a variety of ensembles. The 3C and 3E mouthpieces help the player meet these demands without changing the important contact shape between the mouthpiece rim and the lips thereby keeping a consistent embouchure.
A deluxe wood shell case provides great protection and features a large mute compartment and a flip-up compartment perfect for valve oil, slide grease and other small items the professional player needs to carry to the gig. The case also features a fold-down ‘subway handle’ handy for carrying the instrument in a vertical position that does not stick out in the aisle when traveling the subway to the gig.
Only W. Nirschl provides all these features at an intermediate price.
Other features include a .460” bore which is standard in the industry and gives the player just the right amount of resistance while allowing plenty of room for power, a 1st slide thumb hook for fine tuning, a 3rd slide ring which is crucial for tuning low D and Db, and Stainless Steel Pistons for fast action and extremely long life.
