As one reviewer puts it, nothing tops this guitar IMO. In the past I found the best selling 814CE bass shy, but not this dreadnaught beauty. Great bass response and sparkling highs. Scooped out midrange great for singers. Mine is a 1998 bought used in mint condition from Sam Ash's fabulous Huntington, L.I. store. It has the Fishman pickup, which I find preferable to the Taylor Expression System. This guitar sounds so great unplugged, that amplification is unnecessary, but a good option.

This guitar is hands down the best acoustic-electric guitar money can buy at ANY price. Mine has aged to make it sound even better. I have a 2001 model and I have never heard or played a better sounding or feeling instrument and I have played guitars that cost five times as much. My uncle has a Martin that he paid 12 grand for and he is jealous of this guitar. I personally think that my guitar that I own is the best acoustic-electric guitar on the planet. It is THAT GOOD. I am a pro and I play over 200 shows a year and this is my baby. I own a couple other high end guitars but this one is leaps and bounds over them. Mine is an older model and has the Fishman rather than the expression system but you can't go wrong with either. The expression system is one of the best next to Martin's Aura systems. Try one for yourself. Mine is a jewel and I will never sell it. I have in fact been offered 10k for my particular guitar on two seperate occasions. That is just how good my guitar is. The sound and tone, the playability...not to mention it's a very good looking guitar. Try one for yourself. If it's anything like mine you might find yourself not being able to put it down. Hope this helps.

Hello, I just purchased this guitar! I had my eyes set on the Gibson for a long time, but after the first time I touched this guitar, I knew it was it. This guitar sung to me! It's a masterful piece of work! The tone is rich, and has a perfect blend of the Lows-Mids-Highs. And it PROJECTS! This guitar is easy on the fingers all the way up the neck. I would recommend this guitar to anyone, for that matter; I would recommend a Taylor to anyone. Ive owned mine for two years.Exellent guitar with full tone not lacking volume like some of the auditorium series.I had a 914 didnt cut it{In my opinion}In the bass department.Best taylor out there period...Expression system may be the best p/u out there.Worth the price .Sam ash is great .Ive shopped there stores plenty never a problem.
