• All Birch Shells: Carefully selected birch materials are utilized for the Silverstar 6-ply, 6mm shells (the bass drum is 7-ply, 7mm). Tama uses the same manufacturing process and methods to create Silverstar that they use to build their high-end drums. The result is an instrument that exhibits a powerful sound, a rich tone and a warm resonance usually found in more expensive drums.
• New Star-Mount System for mounting the toms: The new Star-Mount System was designed to increase the resonance of the drums. Four minimal contact points suspend the drum without touching the shell and provide maximum tone and resonance.
• Swiveling Eye Bolts: The tom brackets feature eyebolts that swivel from side to side so they are never in the way when you reposition your toms.
• Slide-able Tom Holder: The MTH905N double tom holder makes it possible to move your toms forward or backward simply by using a drum key to adjust the locking tension bolt. Tama is well-known for their extremely rugged and precisely adjustable double tom holders.
• New Low-Mass Lug: Silverstar drums feature newly designed separate lugs. Because these new lugs make less contact with the surface of the shell, the drums resound more freely and clearly.
