Rockstar Custom drums feature one inner ply of basswood for projection and appearance, five plies of Philippine mahogany for total warmth, and an outer ply of select basswood finished in transparent lacquer. All Rockstar Custom mounted toms come with Tama’s Star-Cast Mounting System (with newly designed Hoop Grips). This great system allows more natural resonance and unrestrained shell vibration. Accu-tune hoops - made of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) - provide greater durability and easier tuning. These strong hi-tech hoops use tension bolts instead of claw hooks.
