They range from the large, rock and big band-style 6-1/2”x14”, the most versatile 5”x14”, two different piccolo snare sizes in the 4”x14” and 5-1/2”x12”, and the little “popcorn snare” 5-1/2”x10” that comes with the Tama MC69 single drum attachment that you can use to hang the 10” snare from another stand as a specialty or effect snare drum.
All of the snare drums feature strong, triple-flanged hoops, a precise and dependable snare throw-off and low-mass dual lugs (8 lugs for the three 14” diameter snares, 6 lugs for the 12” and 10” snares). The 6-1/2” x14”, 5”x14” and the 5-1/2”x12” snare drums also feature a “beaded” shell design with a raised bead that runs around the center of the shell. This design feature, found on a number of very successful and classic metal shell snares, gives the shell additional strength and guarantees its perfect roundness while also fine-tuning the drums resonance.
