The Takamine EG523CDX-HB jumbo cutaway acoustic/electric guitar excels as a rhythm guitar - big meaty chords, plenty of volume and outstanding balance. The Takamine EG523CDX-HB has a stunning 3-piece flame maple back with a quilted maple center, a solid spruce top with abalone binding and a gorgeous honeyburst finish. Even when not plugged in, you're getting a rich sound that only Takamine can offer, but when you need it, you've got the TK40 preamp with EQ bypass, notch-filter, mid-contour and a built-in tuner. This guitar also features a maple neck, bound rosewood fretboard, pearl & abalone block inlays, pinless rosewood bridge with 2-piece saddle, chrome tuners with pearloid buttons and a tortoise pickguard.
