I marched- yes, MARCHED- this exact model for high school marching band more than 10 years ago and I can't really say I'm surprised that Selmer is still making this specific model of Baritone Sax. Our high school football team was constantly in the play-offs so our marching season was abnormally long- I'm talking August to December sometimes. This monster survived weeks of constant rehearsal, marching practice under the Texas sun, pep rallies and physical abuse in aluminum stands under Friday night lights. The only thing that ever needed repairing was the neck-strap. I really miss dropping that low A. I think the only other people to get the satisfaction of a low note like that are either brass players or owners of an air-horn in a diesel truck. This Bari-Sax is a great instrument.
