Have this in lefty, and am glad I bought it. Better feel than the Ibanez and others. Smooth comfortable neck and body, flawless fit and finish. Pups sound great. Stays in tune for weeks, great pegs. Only complaint is the tone pot doesn't change the sound much at all. Could use a real Fender pot guys. The sound is amazing, as good as the USA Fender PBass special. In antique burst finish, it's stunning. For lefties, it's hard to find good guitars, this is a winner left or right handed.

It's remarkable, how much I've put through this axe. My cousin got it in 1999 and put it in storage until she gave it to me a couple years ago. It was in beautiful condition, except that over the years, the truss rod broke. I still used it up until earlier this year. When it got too bent to play, I switched out the neck for a squire Jazz bass fretless neck. What are the odds, the truss rod on that broke too. I will put a new neck on it when I come across one. I'd like a lefty headstock, because I'm strange like that.
The tone is comparable to my old Univox. I haven't had any problems with it other than the neck. I put a lot through it, and it still looks really pretty.
On a side note, the amp I got with it was weak and quiet. It's a 45 watt practice amp. Mind you, it was made before Fender made the Bassman amp.

This was my first bass, this is what you need if your startng up or just want to jam. I've picked up other basses in my few years of playing, this is what you need to start your career from scratch!

This is my first bass, I bought it after owning a Squier Strat years and years ago. The guy at the music store (nice guy) told me not to bother buy a standard MIM and to go w/ a Squier because he said other than the PU's the Squier is just as good. Nice guy, saved me some cash!

I recommend this bass to anyone. Only things against it are that the tone button doesn't change sound much and the p/u is ok for beginners but doesn't deliver the sound that it could.

Excellent Bass imo, I would give it 5 stars with a new p/u!

i use this bass at home, in my band, at school for demonstrations, and i love it, it is cheap and has a great sound and look

Not a bad bass really. Needed quite a bit of setting up when I first got it, but it has a very good neck and it very playable. The pickups aren't great quality, and don't do much for the sound. Certainly wouldn't give it 5 stars, and I wonder why other reviewers would???

Decided to learn bass after 40 years of playng guitar. Was suprised how good this bass plays and feels. Great action and solid tone. You get the best of both worlds with the P-Bass and Jazz pickups. You can dial in a few different tones. Can't beat this bass for beginners or jammin' with you friends.
