"This is one of those sleeper offbrand deals that has no right to be as good as it is. I recommended two pairs to a little theatre I work with because they fit the budget , but, although I'd heard them in the store, I was biting my nails about whether they would cut it in the theatre. They filled it very effectively, so [...] I bought myself a pair. They sound really nice for the pianos on my QS-8, a nice bit of warmth without being boomy. I don't like exagerated bass or treble so I have trouble finding roadworthy speakers that I like, and I enjoy playing the digital piano more through these than some hifi and reference speakers I've had. I'm sure they're plenty to amp my keyboards for the lounge dinner music/jazz gigs (where space is also at a premium) and I'm hoping they'll cut it as stage monitors with the louder pop bands. My only issue is that if you use the included bracket to tilt it back as a floor monitor, there's not enough room for a straight 1/4"" plug in the back - I'm planning on soldering an inline jack to some pigtails and then semi-permanently sticking that on the binding posts. But within their limits and considering the price these boxes ROCK!!! "
