"This isn't something you'd play a large gig with. But for practicing at home or with a few buds, or even a small gig, this will work. Despite the 2 so-so reviews here, I do not agree totally with them. Yea, a manual would have been nice, but it is simple enough to figure out. Sound is great with my Music Man JP model, piezo sounds great. I've experienced no sound issues or had any problems. Basically I use it to jam along with CD's or MP3's. But I can easily tell this could be used for a small jam session. Sound is good, and it's pretty loud. [...]Personally, I really dig this little PA. It suits my needs perfectly. "

"Contrary to other reviews, this PA delivers all 200 watts of sound to the 8 ohm speakers. In reviewing the circuitry, there is *NO* evidence of a segmented 25 or 50 watt amplifier stage per input. The lack of docs is an annoyance. It's internals are that of a classis PA: 8 preamped inputs mixed to a common buss, mixed with the CD input, passed through the delay/echo to the equalizer, then on to the power amplifier. In addition, there is an effect send/return loop between the equalizer and power amp. The power amp is a bridged pair of LM3886T high-performance audio amplifier. This configuration evenly spreads the heat dissipation between the two amp chips. RECOMMENDED MODIFICATIONS: 1. Cut a vent hole in the bottom of the PA cabinet. Although there are vent holes below the heatsinks, there isn't a corresponding opening in the case! Cutting a rectangular hole will facilitate convection cooling. A fan may help as well. Remove the 5 retaining screws and handle screws before cutting the hold. 2. Replace with shielded wires the unshielded wires between the effects board and equilizer board. I'm not sure why the engineers skimped at this point. ENJOY!"

"i got this PA system for christmas, and iam 14 years old...and starting a band, and i had absolutely no problem with figuring it out, without the manual. you might have to play with it alittle, but its pretty easy to get, its not that hard, and about the one guy saying that you only get 50W when your only using one input.....NO IDEA what he is talking about...the speakers are what gives its Watts, and theres 2 speakers wich means 100W out of both, no clue what that guys talking about. also i called up a couple places, and they told me i would need a PA system with 500W to get the vocals so were you can hear them with the type of music iam playing (punk..2 guitars, bass, and drums) wich was not true, this one works just fine, and you can allways add on to it with other speakers....so if your looking for a PA that you can start out with, this ones great, and its for a pretty good price. so buy it"

"First off, I'd just like to say this is a pretty good and reliable pa system. Especially for its price. But, I have to major complaints. This product does not come with a user manual. For anyone who knows anything about pa systems and live sound, this should not be a hurdle. This is however, and novice system and mostly begginers buy it. So not including a manual is very inhibitory. Especially since things can differ from system to sytem. It would be nice to know some more specifics besides just reading the back of the cabs and mixer. Also... I was unaware that the 200 watts of power that is in the mixer would be equally split into all 8 channels, even when the other 6 or however many are not in use. So basically you're getting about 50 watts of power(unless you use all your channels). Right now I am in the process of trying to bridge the 200 watts into the channels that we are using. Which would be even easier if there was a manual. Overall though, if you're looking for a simple pa system... nothing too fancy, and don't plan on actually using it to play out with then this would be a great product. For practice purposes its great... especially once you are able to use the entire 200 watts for the channels you actually want to use. The price is great, and you get 2 - 12"" cabs with horns along with an 8 channel mixer . Thats a lot of bang for your buck. The downside is, no manual and you lose a lot of watts from the unused channels."

I bought this yesterday [...]. It works great but it came without any documentation or user manuals. I went back to the store today to ask for one and they said that it doesn't come with one. What's up with that ? I searched all over the internet for the Stageworks webpage but there isn't any for the sound system. I'm a drummer who's just tryinig to build up some band equipment so I don't know much about sound systems. That is why I needed the information. Now I feel bummed out.
