Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster SH Electric Guitar (Assorted Colors)

The Squier Vintage Modified Tele SH has all the charm and playability of a traditional Tele with the added punch of Duncan Design pickups that include a TE-103 Stack at the bridge and a HB-102 at the neck. The Maple neck has a Maple fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets. Additional features include black chrome knurled knobs, reverse control plate, 5-way switch, die-cast tuners, vintage 6-saddle bridge and an Indian Red Cedar body capped with a 3-ply pickguard. Case not included.

The Squier VM Telecaster SH produces a real Jazz Guitar Tone on the neck pickup. It's very woody and pure. It produces nice response on Octaves and 6th intervals and of course, with the neck humbucker provides a "humless" sound. The neck is fast, accurate, stable and has medium frets that feel good. The neck pickup is very balanced and puts up with dissonant chords very cleanly. I use the tone controls in the compressor section of a Boss me70 along with a 100w solid-state combo to produce a very warm, glassy tone. This guitar is inexpensive but has enough quality to be used as a primary guitar. Ed Bikert a Canadian jazz player of note can be seen playing a telecaster on YouTube. He gets (got?) a very nice jazz tone and so does the Squier SH.

everything is great about this guitar!!except for the fret wire...it needs to be polished at the edges ...great tone..i would compare it to a fender american strat..it would be hard to find any guitar better than this for this price!!

I'm an old (very old) Blues player and have played for many many years. I have played with many tele players and have always liked the tele twang and how they can cut through the mix. I bought this guitar on a whim and I'm very happy with it. I have not only found the tele twang but I love the humbucker tone also. Great woody tone and sounds like no other tele I have played or heard. Neck plays well once I adjusted it, but that's a player preferance. I also filed the edges of the fret wires because they were alittle sharp to me. It's made in India of cedar, but I don't care, it plays as good as any American Tele I have seen.

I've been at this for a long, long time and have played many guitars along the way. In the last few years i have been looking for a tele that sounded great but wouldn't break the bank. This guitar covers all the sounds a Blues player like me could ask for. Really cuts through the mix at a jam and looks great doing it. I had to adjust the neck and change strings to get the action where I like it, but to each their own. Fit and finish is top notch and the controls work fine. I don't know when Fender started making guitars in India but, if this is what we can expect, keep it up!

Fine guitar for the money. Humbucker has a nice crunch to it and the tele twang is there too. Neck is fast and smooth. Fret wires are alittle sharp but I fixed that. I have been playing since the 60's and I'm into Blues now and this fits me very well. The metalic red looks like a custom car paint job, very deep and seem to change colors at different angles.Made in India, but play and sounds great!

I have been playing since the 60's and this is a fine guitar at any price. Compairs well to the American Tele's I have played. Love the red metalic paint job and it's flawless. Tele twang in the bridge and humbucker crunch on the neck. Very comfortable neck and fret board. So it says Squier on the head and made in India on the back. Who cares when it plays and sounds so good.
