"If you're like me and you've never experienced owning and playing your very own twangy Tele, this axe is a low-cost entry into the club and an outstanding value [features/price]. Don't expect an Indonesian-made guitar to deliver the pleasing aesthetics and finesse of an American-made or even Mexican-made instrument costing two to six times as much. What you can expect is a whole bunch of ear-o-licious tone from the upgraded Alnico pickups. The bridge pickup is particularly outstanding! It has typical tele bite and twang. Yep, it will easily get you into red dirt road territory. The neck pickup is equally useful for elicting smoother, treble rolled-off jazz tones. Even if your musical tastes don't span Paisley to Benson, I still recommend this guitar for it's sheer tone versatility. The neck could be more refined with smoother fret edges, but hey...keep in mind that it costs less than 2 bills. The action was factory adjusted high, but a few minutes with the saddle adjustments brought it down to a reasonable height w/o fret buzz. The tuners are die-cast and hold tune well. The matching painted headstock is classy looking. But the coolest thing is this: This guitar is a player that won't beg (or even hint) for you to seek out replacement pickups, because the tone is already happening."
