I've had this guitar for about 6 months now. I considered returning it immediately getting it because it came with a few nicks in the neck. [...]The first string change I did I found out ALL of the tuners were loose. OK, no big deal you say? Playing a bar E chord gave an annoying ringing sound from the spring cavity area. I determined it was because of the cheap tremolo sustain block which I replaced at a cost of $25. Made a huge difference. But when trying to adjust the bridge height I found that it was incorrectly mounted to the guitar, one side was higher than the other and couldn't adjust. To make matters worse, the metal ferrule, or whatever you want to call it, that the bridge is screwed into was not properly mounted and freely comes out of the hole. This is a big job to fix and one I can't easily do myself. Playing any note at the twelfth fret results in an unbearable oscillating sound that is not fixed even by proper intonation, lowering/raising the pickups or replacing the saddles. My suspicion is that the pickups are to blame and probably are just not very good. The pickguard is a very thin cheap plastic which cracked in two places on mine. The action could not be adjusted low enough without a great deal of fret buzz. I wound up shimming the neck which enabled me to get the action lower but there is still some fret buzz which I can't get rid of. I would definitely not buy this guitar again. It's just a real cheap piece of junk on which you will have to replace a lot of components and spend a lot of time just to make it border on acceptability. Even then you will have spent a lot more than if you had just bought a better instrument to begin with. Stick with the CV50, CV60 or a real Fender and save yourself a lot of headaches.

i have this guitar for almost one year, and it is horrible, is the most horrible guitar i ever had, i have an ibanez and a esp, and this is the poor think i ever had in my life, dont buy it

[...] My first impression of it as I slowly unleashed it from it's container, was Way Cool !!! I did'nt do anything with it for two days. Just let it out to suck up some of it's new surroundings. Then it was time to give it a serious set-up. I gave it an initial tune-up, then spent two days straightening out the neck ( I do this very slowly to allow the grain in the neck ample time to adjust to the torque ). Next on the list......, String height ! Took about another day to tweek that in. Another day spent on getting the intonation perfect, and it was time to give it a new set of Fender XL 150's. At this point, I found something that I should'nt have found..... all of the nuts that hold the machine heads to the head-stock were lose, and I mean ALL !! Anyway, after taking care of that, and tuning & stretching the strings, the moment of truth was upon me. I plugged into the Guitar Research T64RS ( which was a Really Great Surprise ) and let her rip. Lo and behold, I was listening to that pristine sound of "" STRAT ""....... I was in love !!! Need I say more ? Hope you enjoy my review as much as I enjoy the Strat. "
