this strat was my very first guitar and after a while, i started to dislike it. on the top three strings near the first or second fret, it buzzes and goes out of tune. also, after 2-3 weeks, i noticed that it was chipped. the pickups are a little lame as well as the strings and for me i personaly feel uncomfortable playing it when standing or even in general

great guitar for beginners. ive been playing bass for awhile and decided to try out a guitar, this was great for the price and is a beautiful instrument. i went with the sunburst. although this is a great guitar the amp it comes with is junk. i reccomend replacing it with a better quality. all the reviews that complain of fret buzz were true in the beginning but you just need to adjust the actions and it sounds perfect.

Ok, here we go. I bought this guitar package as my first electric guitar after playing acoustic for 2 years. Lets start with the guitar. On the outside its absolutly beautiful. (Sunburst Color). A first I wasnt too crazy about the red pickguard but its grown on me I guess. Neck is is really nice. Now the inside is what made me want to vomit. HORRIBLE pickups. The tuners never let the guitar stay in tune, and dont even make me get started on the tremolo. Now the other stuff. Amp:Horrible doesnt even have a gain channel. Cable: no brand but its ok I guess. Gig bag: Average. Tuner:is just anoying. DVD:Annoying as well. Picks:is probably the best thing in the whole pack. SO if you're out looking for a good guitar for a beginner get a higher end Squier and a decent amp THAT HAS A GAIN CHANNEL. Its a little more expensive but you'll save more money in the long run, cuz your going to want to upgrade anyways after you buy this. I only gave it a three becuase the guitar looks nice and it came with a bunch of stuff.

I have had this guitar for four years. (The cons above are what happened before i got a setup) I bought it back when it came with a wwwaaaaayyyyyy better amp. But, as far as the guitar goes: its good. There is a reason Fender puts there name on these things. THE KEY TO GETTING THE MOST OUT OF IT: GET.A.SETUP. Get a setup. Like i said ive had it for four years and JUST got a setup. Went to play a gig and was not at all embarrassed by the guitar that was putting out these great sounds. Just beginning or want a steal? Get one! But DO NOT FORGET TO GET A SETUP AT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC STORE! (ELIXER STRINGS ALSO MAKE A DIFFERENCE)

I love it. Its my 1st guitar (excluding that cheesy starter one I got when I was 5). Its everything you need and more than what is displayed in the picture. The only thing is that the strings will pop via tuning. I suggest buying 2 sets of strings and replacing the given ones upon your set up. Other than that, Fender needs to promote someone at Squier.

WEll i use this as a pratice guitar and feels good definitely good for starters but maybe the amp you should change or something but over all its okay.

I use this basically as a "beginners metal guitar" not awesome for that purpose, but it is pretty fun, it can actually handle whammy use really good in D standard and C standard. But it buzzes on a couple frets and I've got a couple dead frets with bends, but all in all, I like it and am getting it modded with a Floyd and possibly a seymour duncan pup. But it still doesnt compare to Ibanez.

I use this guitar to practice and for jamming around the house. It's perfect when you don't want to risk knocking your expensive guitars around. This guitar has a great feel, with a nice countoured body and the perfect amount of heft to it. Some people are quick to knock this package because they don't experience the tones they would with an Epiphone hollow-body, but for the price, it can't be beat. It is true the amp leaves a little to be desired, but if it is adjusted properly it sounds great. Don't expect to put on a show with it or anything. It's not a Marshall stack, but for sitting on the couch the thing rocks. After all, Fender does put its name on it. The only criticism I would express concerning the guitar would be a small amount of fret buzz in the low E. Anybody who has much experience with Stratocasters will know you'll often find this buzz is inherent in all Strats, and can be adjusted out. The package contains the Allen wrenchs to adjust the guitar, along with instructions. I don't mind the buzz, as it is very minor, so I didn't even bother adjusting it.

I PLAY GUITAR AND WHEN I GOT TIRED OF MY ACOUSTIC I BOUGHT THIS. THIS IS A VERRY GOOD PRODUCT AND IF YOU GET A SET UP YOU CAN REMOVE THE FRET BUZZ. IF YOU ARE LUCKY YOU MAY NOT HAVE BUZZ. OVERALL ITS GOOD PUT THE AMP IS NOT THE BEST BUT ITS ALRIGHT. I LOVE THE PICKUP SWITCH AND I WOULD RECOMEND THIS TO A 8 YEAR OLD TO AND 80 YEAR OLD
