The versatile Squire Deluxe Hot Rails Strat has all the traditional Fender vibe, but dont be fooled: this ain't your daddy's Strat...this bad boy is hopped-up and has all you need and then some with its THREE(!) fearsome Duncan Designed™ HR-101 pickups; a single-coil-size version of high-output Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucking pickups for full sound and near-eternal sustain. And its Basswood body helps produce a ton of tone that is fat and well balanced, but with a bit of mid-range emphasis as well. Coupled with its Maple, modern "C" shaped neck, and 22 medium jumbo frets, this is a guitar that can scream AND play fast to boot! Case not included. The Pickups The real heart and soul that breaths fire into this machine are its three Seymour Duncan Designed HR-101 Hot Rails pickups. engineered and designed to have the same footprint or size as a typical Fender Single Coil Pickup. These Duncan Designed HR-101 Hot Rails pickups have two thin blades or “rails” on their surface and beneath the surface are twin coils with extra wire windings. This gives them an increased output, even a bit more than the regular Seymour Duncan Hot Rails, and it makes them give a very rich, fat, full, sound, that one would not typically expect form a pickup with the size of a single coil.
