The all-new Squier ‘51 is a value-priced screamer offering unique looks and functionality. Its clean appearance belies its true nature, with tonal possibilities galore (via its rotary selector and push-pull coil tap). Highlights include a basswood body, C-shaped maple neck and fingerboard (with "Tele" headstock), a single-coil "Strat" pickup in neck position and a Hot humbucker in the bridge position. Features chrome hardware that includes a set of die-cast tuners and a hardtail bridge. Case not included.

I have three of these, one stays stock as my "bash it live" machine that sounds great and at the price scratches and dings don't matter. The other two have been modified to various degrees, swapping pickguards, pickups, bridges, necks, and finishes is relatively easy.

The Squier '51 is dollar for dollar one of the great guitar values on the market. It's likely that some have been skeptical due to the price and/or the Squier badging. While I'm hardly a professional musician, I can say that the Sunburst model that I have is worth every penny and then some and will stack up nicely against many other guitars that go for several hundred dollars more. Many will say it is a good entry level guitar, but I would think that a guitar this good would do well with experienced, much more skilled guitarists that I. In the end it's a great bargain and it's a great guitar. [$], but don't be surprised at the quality in return for the price, you won't be disappointed.

I Have a Fender MIM Tele so I was hoping that the neck would be somewhat close to my tele and it was. A few sharp edges but not bad as I have seen MIM strats with worse fret edges, anyway a little scotch brite on the frets and a little filling on the edges and then off to my guitar buddy who set it up perfect. Plays great stays in tune and the sunburst looks very nice, the sounds are very fun and for tone my volume knob acts like the tone control on my tele, it rolls of the bite or add to the bite. Get one they will sought after in the future.

I couldn't wait to get a hold of this. Since I couldn't afford the Carvin of my dreams, cheap cheapie seemed the best. Plays sweet, though it took some minor adjustment to eliminate E string fret buzz. Really nice tone and fairly lightweight. At this price, I'm not afraid of letting my 3year old Jam with me. New strings are a must. My biggest gripe is the sharp ends of the frets starting at about the 7th. They were not filed properly and stick out just a bit. Good quality finish and cool pullout pot. The unusual pick up configuration is great. Buy this guitar before they are sold out!

this is a sweet sounding axe with a great vintage vibe and feel. highly recommended for begginers especially and as a second axe for a seasoned vet. the array of tones you can get from the two pickups and tone pot is great. you can pull anything from a strat sound to a tele sound to a great punk/metal sound. highly recommended and a steal at the price!

I got this guitar for cheap at a music store about a week ago, and personally I think it's gonna be a great play. I'm into SOCAL and IRISH punk and this thing is perfect for PUNX!!! The only problem is that it was missing a screw on the pickguard, but I just found one lying around my house and put it in. GO GET IT!!!

PS. PUNX NOT DEAD!!!!!!!!!!
